Team HydroPhi is a U.S. team that plans to enter two vehicles in the competition utilizing their EV and hydrogen technology. Their energy source, the HydroPack is a miniature power plant designed to integrate with and partially replace battery systems in electrical powered motorized devices.

This solution creates a continuous supply of energy to the battery system employed, whether it be lead acid, nickel hydride or lithium batteries. The existing battery systems are merely used as collectors of this continuous energy supply.

This innovative power pack has applications in the recreational vehicle market, automotive and transportation market, heavy industrial equipment market, residential and commercial real estate, and as temporary power (i.e., mobile power systems and disaster relief solutions for extended power outages.)
