We really think Leah is learning to communicate, both verbally and with sign. In about July I remember thinking her first word will be "cat" as she would always light up when she saw Lucha and then look at me. When she did, I would sign and say, "cat." Soon thereafter she'd whisper "c..t..." of course I took this as coincidence but wondered deep down if this was deliberate. When we went away to Ontario, she never used those consonants again.Mid-July she started waving. Again, I took this as coincidence - that she was reaching out to the pers... more »

We've been working hard at making our car more streamlined. We decided to improve the tail section and making door hinge improvements. We're also working on "ruggedizing" our battery box. We are quite pleased to have successfully passed the requirements at the Shakedown. Accomplishments:
We did 0-60 mph in about 6 seconds
We met the "durability" requirement... and ran about 47 miles
We met the double lane-change requirement
Here's our video of the double lane change:
Despite the stress, pressures and everything we had to overcome to get here... we did it.
